57. Mr Karam claims that Inspector Soper also made an early entry into the house but this, too, is untrue. That officer went through the gate on to the property to ensure that proper action was in hand but he did not enter the house. He then set up the Command Vehicle as a forward base in the street. The presence of a guard/log keeper at the gate and the restrictions on entry into the building are not consistent with the claim people were entering the house in an uncontrolled way.
